Fuck Off Payet
Dimitri Payet
We just don’t care if you go.
That was ringing out from the stands prior to any goals being scored in this London Derby. After the fans sung the roof off in favour of Slaven, just to let him know he had our support.
The game itself was a little bit nothing in the first half as Mr Allardyce set out his usual 4/4 close lines away from home . We had some joy down the wings and Randolph made one save.
As per last season though, Slaven picked it up in the second half, swapping Ogbonna for Byram at half time, and allowing Feghouli to go further forward and Antonio to go down the wing.
Feghouli seemed to revel in the freedom, as did Lanzini. They were seeing a lot more of the ball than they would had Payet been on the park, and they took full value. Feghouli started to tear the Palace Left Back apart and it was his fellow right winger Antonio (on the left) who crossed in a great through ball from Noble for Feghouli to get his first EPL goal for the Hammers.
Palace had to open up, and the spaces started to appear, and another Antonio cross assisted in the making of this…

From then on the Stadium was bouncing between Super Slav and the aforementioned Payet song. And I mean real atmosphere. It was just incredible.
West Ham, like some other clubs, seem to revel in adversity and yesterday proved it. Lets remember though, it’s not the first time our highest paid player has left mid season.
Antonio soon completed his assist-trick by putting through the impressive Lanzini to lob keeper Hennessy effortlessly.
We did look like a team again today, and everyone put in a shift. There could of been 4 or 5 MOTM awards handed out yesterday. However Mark Noble wasn’t one in the first half and was lucky Kouyate was away in Africa. and lucky the Obiang just carries on making no fuss and doing a great job.
Feghouli was a revelation, making you think how much was Payet an influence on how the team played, either by design or subconsciously. Lanzini the same. Carroll finally won over the last of his doubters. Of which I have never been one.
Oh and last season I was saying Payet was not as good as Lanzini. Yesterday, Manuel set out to prove that, lets hope I’m right.
My take on Payet. Cheers for last season, you didn’t look too clever this year. Bye. Move on.
MOTM 3 assists in 18 minutes. Michail Antonio
